POWR POLYSTYRENE ADHESIVE is a high strength pre-mixed acrylic paste adhesive that can be used to bond polystyrene cornices – and other decorative products such as polystyrene ceiling tiles, roses and lightweight wall tiles – to most construction substrates such as cement, gypsum, plaster, polyurethane, polystyrene, painted surfaces and wood.

POWR POLYSTYRENE ADHESIVE  is highly flexible and will not crack over time. It can also be used to fill in holes and gaps and any inconsistencies in the cornice, wall or ceiling. It has a strong initial grab and can be painted over with any suitable paint.

Surface Preparation:

• Cornices must only be bonded to clean, dry surfaces that are free of any loose particles.
• For best adhesion, roughen walls and ceiling with sand paper. Use a clean brush to remove and dust.

Note:

• Do not use on wet surfaces. If adhesive is applied to wet surfaces, the drying time will increase substantially.

Application:

• Product is pre-mixed and ready for use. Do not attempt to dilute or add any solids to the mixture.
• Apply a liberal bead of adhesive directly onto the cornice edges, top and bottom.
• Press firmly on cornice ensuring adhesive makes contact with all surfaces.
• For heavy cornices or long sections, panel pins can be used to support the cornice until the adhesive has dried.
• Use adhesive to fill in any holes or gaps in the cornice, ceiling or wall.
• Wipe away excess adhesive with a damp sponge or cloth before it has dried.
• Allow 24 hours for adhesive to dry completely.

Storage and Shelf Life:

POWR POLYSTYRENE ADHESIVE  has a shelf life of 12 months (the expiry date is shown on the packaging), when stored at a temperature between 5°C and 25°C in its original unopened packaging. Store in a cool dry place below 30°C. Keep container tightly sealed to prevent adhesive from drying out.

Caution:

• Wear gloves and avoid contact with skin and eyes. If contact occurs rinse immediately with water. If irritation persists, seek medical attention.
• Test product on samples before installation to ascertain suitability. As this product is used outside our control, we cannot accept liability for misuse or damages.
• Keep out of reach of children.
