BOSTIK Marine Silicone Clear - 280ml is a one-part, acetoxy-curing silicone that provides a permanent, flexible, watertight seal for building fish tanks and aquariums and heavy-duty marine work. The large 280ml cartridge suits bigger tanks and larger sealing runs.
Load the cartridge into a caulking gun and lay a single continuous bead along each seam for maximum strength, tooling it before it skins. Let it cure fully before filling any tank. Does not contain a fungicide.

Standard stuff. Works well. I used it in the bathroom, kitchen, to repair a cracked fish tank and all worked. Good stuff
The task I intended to use the marine silicone for is as an underwater pool light sealant. Unfortunately less than half way through the tube it became blocked, root cause showed the remaining silicone was solid and not liquified. I checked the manufacturing date (11/2025) so confirming the product is not out of date, have to assume it was not kept in a location conducive to keeping the tube fresh. Disappointed, but I managed to complete my task with the initial silicone. Note: the silicone needs to dry/set for 7 days so plan ahead.
